The Boss Bamboo Pen – Laser Engraved Writing Pen – Gift for Managers and Leaders

We live in a bamboo off-grid solar home on the Big Island and have bamboo clump plantings around the home so I am attracted to bamboo items of all kinds. This is an attractive pen that I gave to my wife as a small gift because it has "Boss' on the side.

The pen's body and build are fine. It is quite light to the point of feeling almost like weightless.The clip is strong and sturdy. It's nothing fancy other than a metallic piece snuggly fitting into a groove etched into the bamboo body. The clicker, like the tapered tip, are plastic pieces with a silver paint made to look metallic. It works fine and emits a typical clicking sound (not silent).The weakest component is the ink itself. At least for the pen I got, it writes like a typical ballpoint pen: skips a bit when not used for a while. I had to "prime" it by drawing circles several times to get the ink flowing. After a while, the ink accumulates around the ball resembling a type of crud which gets smudged onto the paper. If you plan to use this pen for a while, consider buying some better refills to replace the one that came with the pen in order to get a better experience.

This pen writes quite nicely and works well as a pen. My only criticism is it is quite light, which really shouldn't be surprising as it is made with bamboo,
