This molten glass bowl is a striking decorative piece that combines hand-blown recycled glass with sustainably sourced gamal root wood. Crafted in Bali using traditional hand tools, the glass is shaped while molten and carefully relaxed directly over the wood, where it cools and hardens to form a natural, seamless fit.
Each piece follows the unique contours of the wood beneath it, creating a one-of-a-kind display with organic shape and character. The clear glass bowl provides a distinctive setting for stones, air plants, floating candles, or zen-style arrangements, while the solid wooden base adds warmth and natural texture.
The wooden stand includes a concealed cavity designed to house the cable and bulb fitting, allowing the glass bowl to be softly illuminated from below. Supplied complete with a UK light fitting and LED bulb, this piece works well as an atmospheric feature for interiors that favour natural materials and sculptural décor.
