1. Look for cuffs designed to take cufflinks, with holes on both sides rather than only a button and one buttonhole.
2. For a double cuff, fold the cuff back and align the holes without twisting the fabric.
3. Insert the post using the fastening’s intended movement, then secure the back. Check the visible faces point the way you want.
4. Put on the jacket and move your wrists. The fastening should sit comfortably and the design should not catch the sleeve.
